I grew up in a home with 7 siblings. My father always worked and my mother was a well organized housewife. My father was an ordained minister. He was a very strict disciplinarian. His children had duties to perform and we were well kept. We went to church every Sunday. As far as I remember, I always wanted to help people at school, casual friends and everyone around me.
I wanted everyone to be happy so that they could enjoy their lives. I’m a very intuitive person and I connect easily to people no matter who they are. As I grew up, I heard people’s concerns and wished that I could help them with whatever was going on in their lives. Many times, I felt inadequate and self conscious but I had to contain my emotions and feelings. My feelings of inadequacy created a sense of low self esteem, low self-confidence along with hearing my father and others preach negatively about money.
Quotes such as, “ a rich man couldn’t get into heaven or he couldn’t be a good person or have high integrity or morals because money is the root of all evil.” I heard that sermon or similar statements a million times. These misunderstood beliefs and sermons create strong negative beliefs about money which I carried with me most of my adult life. Those negative beliefs about money showed up in many areas of my life and damaged my personal finances, marriage, and made shopping a miserable experience. In fact, I took my feelings of inadequacy, not being enough and lack consciousness with me, so negative beliefs about money became integral to my overall thinking process.
This consciousness of lack controlled every decision. My beliefs and feelings about money plagued me most of my life. I tried to rid myself of them. I attended workshops, seminars, spiritual teachings, meditations, and even repeated affirmations of abundance. What more could I do? Nothing that I did removed these deep negative feelings about money that were embedded in my subconscious mind.
Those Sunday morning bible teachings and misinterpreted religious beliefs imprinted my subconscious mind. No matter how determined I had been to eliminate my negative beliefs about money, they hardened like cement and I couldn’t put a crack in them. I was absolutely exhausted from trying to rid myself of these old negative issues and at one point I was ready to give up. I had great ideas, great follow through, and worked really hard but I never could get to a place where I could enjoy having money without stress. Those old voices would always haunt me, asking me utterly foolish questions such as, “ Does this mean that you care more about money than people?” I can't tell you the inner turmoil that this issue caused me. It had led to years of stress, frustration, anxiety, and self-doubt.
No matter how productive and successful I had become in my career. I always gave 100 percent and worked very hard. So I could justify asking for a decent raise at the end of the year. This constant judging and never being satisfied was a byproduct of my childhood.
In an effort to save myself, I created a 12-step process to empower, inspire and motivate me throughout each day. Daily habits to keep me feeling good, thankful and appreciative of my life. I developed these steps to help me enjoy a new way of thinking, feeling, living and being. I have shared these 12 Steps with so many people over the years, with great results and great feedback. But as a coach and self help professional, I was always looking for more effective and better ways to be of service.
In my journey to help others, I became an author, life coach, speaker, mentor, podcaster, specializing in self-love, living your dream, and forgiveness. While sitting at my computer one day, I noticed a woman named Marisa Peer. I was intuitively led to listen to what she was sharing. I felt a deep connection to her and her message. Marisa shared a method of therapy that she created called Rapid Transformational Therapy, which sounded great. She shared that you could free people of their negative issues and old limited beliefs, negative feelings and behaviors rapidly, pervasively and permanently. This was amazing !
Truly help people to have massive change enabling them to create fulfilling lives, love themselves, and to achieve their dreams. I got so excited because this is what I have been looking for most of my life. I signed up and took the plunge to be a highly effective life coach and hypnotherapist to better serve my clients. As I moved through the program I released old issues that had clung to me for years. Issues such as self doubt, money blocks and lack consciousness.
I found my Northstar, an inner compass, a partner that led me to this pinnacle. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) is the Marisa Peer method of hypnotherapy, a solution-based treatment offering fast, effective and long lasting change.
The truth is today, I can help you find that inner guide that will lead and guide you to a life of fulfillment, a healthy relationship with money and most importantly create that loving and healthy relationship with the most important person in your life... YOU!
